Welcome to YSP Learning and Cafe, a delightful cafe nestled within the stunning grounds of the Yorkshire Sculpture Park in West Bretton, Wakefield. This charming cafe not only serves as a perfect pitstop for art lovers but also as a cozy retreat for families and friends looking to relax and savor good company amid breathtaking surroundings.

The cafe's inviting atmosphere is heightened by its picturesque location, where you can enjoy your meal surrounded by artistic masterpieces and lush greenery. With an extensive range of seating options, both indoors and outdoors, you can choose to soak in the sun under a parasol or appreciate the warm ambiance inside.

The menu at YSP Learning and Cafe offers a delightful range of treats designed to please every palate. While specific menu items aren't listed, the reviews speak volumes about the delicious offerings available. Customers have rave reviews about the totally awesome cakes, perfect for pairing with a rich cup of coffee. One visitor, Christopher Blackburn, describes indulging in delicious cake and coffee after a day wandering the sculpture park as “highly recommended” – the ideal way to cap off a day of exploration.

For those with a penchant for lighter fare, you won’t be disappointed with the selection of sandwiches, including unique choices like Mediterranean vegetables, brie and pesto or onion bhaji with mango chutney. Served in eco-friendly packaging, these creative combinations ensure that you can enjoy a guilt-free treat. As one customer noted, “I had a tasty sandwich from here, not the cheapest, but it's good to see more novel options available.”

Families will appreciate the cafe’s family-oriented environment and the frequent events tailored for children, fostering both education and interaction. Ume-IYMAN noted how “the staff is extremely warm, inviting, and accommodating,” making this a superb venue for families visiting the sculpture park.

While the reviews praise the cafe's offerings, it's worth mentioning that customer service can vary, as shared by Dominic Johnston-Whiteley, who had a pleasant interaction that was slightly marred by a less-than-friendly supervisor. However, overall, the friendly young staff members contribute to a welcoming atmosphere that many have come to love.

Whether you're here for a scoop of their tasty ice cream – a favorite according to Mark Willoughby – or for a leisurely afternoon filled with cake and conversation, YSP Learning and Cafe is a gem waiting to be explored. Enjoy your next visit, where art meets culture and every bite is a celebration of community.

Wonderful area to take your kids especially when they have something going on, which is often! Staff is extremely warm, inviting and accommodating. Lots to do indoors and outdoors, very educational and interactive. You'll have to plan well to get and park properly depending on what you want to see plus it's £3/hour for parking or £10 for the entire day. Cafe and places to sit and eat your own home made food.

I had a tasty sandwich from here, not the cheapest, but it's good to see more novel options available like Mediterranean veg, brie and pesto; onion bhaji and mango chutney. Served in plant based packaging. Outdoor seating with parasols.

Served by a lovely young woman, who got us our ice cream. Experience was somewhat spoiled by her scowling supervisor.
